Welcome to the new website for the Brooklyn CB2 Community Emergency Response Team. CERT is a program run by the NYC Office of Emergency Management which trains volunteers in each community to assist first responders dealing with local emergency situations, and to help members of the public become aware of and prepare for possible disasters. This site includes information about how to prepare for possible evacuation orders, how to shelter-in-place if necessary, and how to become better prepared for seasonal adverse weather conditions. The CERT team will also be happy to meet with your group to discuss emergency preparedness with you and your members.
